Our story

Ava and Andrew began dating in high school in 2009 after meeting through mutual friends. Following graduation in 2010, Ava was set to attend Boston University, while Andrew was headed to the Colorado School of Mines. Being practical people, they decided to part ways at the end of the summer, wishing each other well as they embarked on different college journeys.

But after saying goodbye and starting school, they soon realized that they, in fact, were in love. Thus began a long-distance relationship filled with phone calls, letters, and visits whenever possible.

In the summer of 2013, going into their senior year of college, Andrew accepted an internship at National Instruments in Austin, Texas, and Ava joined him, landing an internship at the Blanton Museum of Art. After graduation in 2014, Andrew was offered a full-time position at National Instruments, prompting a major decision about their future. Together, they decided to go for it and move to Austin.

Now 10 years after the move, Ava and Andrew have each built successful careers, bought a home in 2019, and found a loving community in Austin—including adopting their beloved late pitbull/boxer mix, Calvin.

For Ava and Andrew, their marriage celebrates the life they've built together and the ways they've grown as individuals. They are thrilled to honor 15 years of love, laughter, and adventure with those who mean the most to them.
